The ARMSTAR is a hands-free, less-lethal self-defense system worn on the arm. The forearm is protected by a standard platform equipped with a 750k volt drive-stunner, LED flashlight, green laser pointer, and HD camera to capture evidence and identify assailants. By consolidating these tactical tools into a highly integrated wearable platform and getting rid of each component's individual harness, we were able to cut the weight by over 50%, thereby affording users more mobility, convenience, and capability
The ARMSTAR™ houses components within a lightweight, impact-resistant composite shell that acts as a shield during combat. To maximize comfort, it was designed with a replicable breathable inner lining to wick away sweat and held in place by a dual-stage ratcheting retention system to accommodate a wide range of arm sizes.
ARMSTAR protects its wearer via integrated stun devices that cannot be seized or dropped. The composite case and forearm shield provide lightweight body armor protection from weapon strikes during hand-to-hand combat. The stunner can be intuitively activated in split-second encounters with the palm switch. By avoiding holstered solutions, mistaken drawing of firearms in high-stress contexts is also avoided.
