Description: Most of my career, I’ve spent as a social entrepreneur, using business as a force for good in the field of public interest journalism.
I grew up in Santa Monica, California and later in Temecula. My parents first met in the doorway of a small office where my mother was secretary to the founder of what became one of the largest humanitarian organizations in the world, World Vision . My father taught in California schools for 55 years while my mother volunteered for organizations she believed in.
I double majored in fine arts and economics at Claremont McKenna College and was awarded a full scholarship to attend the University of Canterbury in Christchurch, New Zealand where I earned a graduate degree in art history.
I spent my twenties traveling the world, and spent most of those years discovering, walking, learning languages, and building businesses in Geneva, Switzerland and Budapest, Hungary.
