Hello Sailors
The Grateful Red is on the hard south of Sydney. Fun and interesting sail from Brisbane to Sydney from January to April of this year. Kristine and I are flying back to the land of Oz first week of October.
The sailing highlights of the upcoming season is sailing to Hobart, Australia November 9 to 16 and Hobart back to Sydney February 17 to 24. Crossing the Bass straits can be a difficult sail … will take the advice of Cruising Yacht Club of Australia – CYCA is sponsoring club of the Sydney to Hobart Race. The sail across the Bass Straits is about 200 miles – less than two days on the Grateful Red – have a seven day window to sail and wait until good prevailing weather. Only cross the straits in good weather.
