Description: This site memorializes John Dominis, a photographer for Life magazine during the Vietnam war. He went to Woodstockand, in the 1970s, worked for People magazine. From 1978 to 1982 he was an editor for the Sports Illustrated. He often pictured stars like Steve McQueen or Frank Sinatra, and these photo series were later published as illustrated books. Together with Giuliano Bugialli, he published several books about Italian cuisine, with Dominis being responsible for the food photography.

John Dominis passed away peacefully on December 30, 2013. By his side was his partner of more than three decades, artist Evelyn Floret. The renowned photo-journalist passed away at their home following complications from emergency bypass surgery a year earlier.
