Apply by August 1st to become a ChangeMaker at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Illinois Wesleyan University, or the University of Texas or virtually!
Students will be introduced to computer assisted design (CAD) & learn about real-world 3D printing applications. MakerGirls will create their own 3D print design and receive the print after the session. Girls will learn 3D printing through fun themes, including Passion for Fashion, Architecture, or Under the Sea through real-life examples and famous women in STEM!
Over the course of 5-modules students will learn to be not only makers, but inventors! MakerGirls use engineering design principles to create their own project. Each MakerGirl will have the opportunity to go through the engineering design process by building their own game board from scratch and thinking critically about the components of their favorite games.
