Bringing Creative Vision and Technical Expertise Together
My journey began as a psychology major taking classes at a junior college. I took a Microsoft Office class to fulfill an elective requirement and was taught a bit of coding using Visual Basic. I created a simple pong game and became hooked. I changed my major to computer science and transferred to Cal Poly Pomona. I was exposed to computer languages such as Java and C++. I learned computer logic and machine language. I had found a passion for coding and was loving every minute of it.
As I was getting closer to completing my degree, I decided it was time to gain experience in the real world and find an internship. I quickly found out that it was not going to be as easy as I thought to become an intern in the tech field. Many companies required knowledge of languages I did not know, some I had never heard of.
