Munhall Sanitary Sewer Municipal Authority was created by the Borough of Munhall in 2008 to manage and operate the Sanitary Sewer System within the Borough of Munhall. This came after the 1st of the Borough’s Municipal Consent Orders came to the Steel Valley by the order of the EPA, DEP and the ACHD. Consent orders were nothing new, since other municipalities and counties experienced their own Consent Orders as early as 2002. The Consent Orders were served as violations of the Clean Stream Act.
