This poem has had many readers. It may have had many followers. The subject is the Roads. The title could be "The Other Road". The thing missing from the poem is the destination, Or the destinations. We don't know if these roads go to the same place. We don't even know if they can go to the same place. We do know that the number of travelers and the type of transport wears one road much more. I assume that number of travelers is much greated because the road is easier. Most people will take this easier road

The Choice needs to be made. There really is very little difference. The author feels that one road, for some reason, has had less traffic; This road is 'the one less traveled by,'.
