Cirqle’s technology is being evaluated for its potential to make cervical mucus temporarily impenetrable to sperm. It is believed that a barrier may be established by a molecule that interacts with cervical mucus and reinforces the natural barrier, preventing sperm cells from breaching the cervical mucus barrier. The technology is designed to provide a localized option, interacting with the superficial mucus layer directly.
The technology is currently in pre-clinical development.
