Wow! Time sure flies when life gets in the way. I haven’t posted anything since 2017 because major life changes occurred. I moved from Illinois to Missouri. I started a new career. I purchased a home. I deployed to Afghanistan. I got married. Now, I’m playing catch up on my artwork as well as writing. With the pandemic causing so much havoc on people’s lives, I have so much ‘art’ inside me that’s screaming to be released. Lord willing, I will pick up my paint brushes and colored pencils again here very soon
I try to learn or try something new everyday. Doing so keeps my mind sharp and spirit young. This is my attempt at monochromatic art. I still have much to learn, but this is so much fun! ($75, Color Pencil, 8.5″x11″, Unframed)
Reaching out to my African roots happens daily. My reflection in the mirror reminds me of my rich heritage, my talents that I have inherited from my fore-fathers and mothers. To stand free and tall while embracing their love lifts my spirits. I feel beautiful with every stroke of the pencil. ($350 USD, 8.5″x11″, Portrait, Unframed)
