Description: More than a mural, See You on the Other Side is a gesture of collective resilience through the spirit of creativity and the art of human connection. This COVID-era creative collaboration between Sonoma County artists, students and teachers of Amarosa Academy, and Artstart community supported the social emotional well-being of students through expanded learning, SEL, and integrated arts education.
See You on the Other Side is an integrated arts program dedicated to social and emotional wellbeing of students and surrounding communities.
Our pilot project began in 2021 at Amarosa Academy in collaboration with the students, community volunteers, and independent artists sponsored by Artstart. The mural, a 480 ft long artifact of the collaboration, transforms the entire courtyard of Amarosa Academy, an alt-ed secondary school run by Sonoma County of Education in Santa Rosa, CA.
