My name is Jacob. I am the creator of this website and I was 9 years old at the time that I first published it. My school was raising money to free child slaves in Ghana, Africa. I started to think about how I could help and decided to create this website to raise even more money.
I would like you to donate money because what is happening is horrible. There are children at the age of six being sold for as little as200,000 cedis (about 25$). Most of the time children are being forced to swim for the first time without being taught. They are forced to swim to the bottom of the lake and to pull nets caught on buried tree stumps. My school helped many families with this campaign. Even though the school effort stoped last year, I am still hoping to continue helping many, many more families. While It may cost a fair sum of money to help, any amount of money will do. I understand that some people are concerned that donation money goes to the fishermen. That is actually false.
