The mission of the S.M.I.L.E. Project is to offer FREE education, nutritional aid, and healthcare assistance to impoverished, abandoned, orphaned, and underprivileged youth lacking the funds and resources for quality education and nourishment in an effort to break the cycle of poverty and create economic mobility for the students, their families, and indeed whole communities.
Founder/Administrator/Teacher, Michael Sebastian, of the S.M.I.L.E. Project is currently teaching in Luang Prabang the UNESCO world heritage site and former capital of Lao P.D.R., or Laos as it is commonly called. The project is committed to sharing heartfelt knowledge so that educational gains not only activate the mind, they are also felt and understood in the depths of the heart, and shared from there with one's whole being, and indeed with the entire universe.
