Sue received her Doctorate of Business Administration from the University of South Florida. Her dissertation title was "Understanding Nonprofit Boards: An Exploratory Study of the Governance Practices of Regional Nonprofits". Since moving to Florida in 2017, Sue has worked with local nonprofits and small businesses on various governance and financial matters.
