At the Tommy G. Thompson Center on Public Leadership, our primary goal is to foster and facilitate effective public leadership in Wisconsin and across the nation through research, teaching, public events and other activities.
Our Bridging the Divide program brings together students with different political perspectives for regular small group conversations about current political issues. Rather than reaching a consensus, the goal is simply to increase engagement and understanding between people with different opinions.
We are dedicated to putting on quality events for the betterment of Wisconsin’s political discourse and to keep Wisconsin moving forward on critical topics. Our events take place across all University of Wisconsin campuses. All events are free and open to the public.
