Say You Will: A movie from 2017 that has strong The Spectacular Now vibes (with a dash of Good Will Hunting ) but just doesn't quite do it for me. It could be that I don't really like the female protagonist (Ellie Vaughn played by Katherine C. Hughes) or the cartoonishly sad Sam Nimitz played by Travis Tope. Or maybe it's the amount of exposition that's crammed in towards the end of the movie to make it all hang together. It's by no means a bad movie but it's simply not my cup of tea.
Experience: The author of this site has watched thousands of movies. He has also recorded and edited hundreds of movies. Most of those movies are short movies made for social media but they generally follow the basics of long-form movies: a clear plot arc, a climax and if appropriate an ending.
