Valeo’s history in the U.S. started in 198 0 with the creation of Valeo Auto Industries Inc. to develop and sell thermal systems to major American automakers.
As the Group expanded, Valeo created joint ventures with Eaton, Osram Sylvania and V. Johnson Enterprises, which further developed Valeo’s leadership in North America. The Group also created a joint venture with Raytheon, which was eventually renamed Valeo Radar Systems and became a wholly owned subsidiary of Valeo.
