As we adjust to the reality that we are facing another Trump administration and a Republican trifecta, there is no poem or anthem that I can share that can console us in this moment. However, these results have brought me to a rededication to clarity, truth-telling, and decisiveness. Right now, Way to Win is laser-focused on exploring the most effective use of our power and position to fight for our collective future. First, we are gathering the data necessary to conduct our own analysis before we jump to conclusions on hard and fast lessons—to understand where work needs to be expanded and where work must adapt. This is not a time to hold any previous assumption as too sacred to question. We commit to sharing our data and analysis with you all in the spirit of radical transparency, and we invite the critique needed to refine our big ideas before we move into full action.
And secondly, because post-mortem narratives after a presidential cycle take root early, before data is truly available, we are doing our best to influence the narratives in a manner that leaves open the door to the best ideas and future courses of action—to keep our coalition’s big tent doors open. Our initial analysis—like the Substack post here —provides our first thoughts and the frameworks we are interrogating.
