Welcome to the website of the Western Wyoming Rifleman's Association (WWRA). Incorporated under the Wyoming Nonprofit Corporations Act, the purpose of the Association is to provide members with the common objective of fellowship and recreation and to promote participation in the shooting sports. We are dedicated to the promotion of good sportsmanship and the wise use of natural and renewable wildlife resources.
The Association seeks to disseminate useful and timely information regarding marksmanship and firearms safety and other information to our members. Additionally, the Association will establish training classes, develop and conduct small arms competitions in cooperation with the National Rifle Association and other organizations of good repute, provide speakers, and general assistance to those desiring to learn and participate in the legitimate shooting sports with special emphasis on youth involvement. In May of 2009 WWRA entered into a lease agreement with Lincoln County, WY for the use of 140 acres of rolling hills 25 miles south of Star Valley for the purpose of allowing WWRA to establish a permanent shooting range. Ground was broken to develop that range in June of 2010 and extensive basic construction was completed in July 2010.
