Cognition and Learning Design Lab The Cognition and Learning Design Lab at Kennesaw State University merges Natural Language Processing (NLP) , Information Retrieval (IR) , and the science of human learning to build AI systems that understand, support, and adapt to learners.
Our work spans three interconnected directions: designing intelligent tutoring systems grounded in cognitive and learning science; building interpretable, trustworthy AI-driven educational tools; and leveraging large language models for personalized learning at scale. Research is validated through empirical user studies, educational data mining, and real classroom deployments.
